Happy New Year folks! Hope you guys had loads of fun during the holiday period! We’re two weeks into a brand new year! For some, a new year marks a period to reflect on your life thus far. It’s also a time to hope and resolve for a better tomorrow. 2011 hasn’t been the easiest year for many of us. It’s been marred with war, strife and economic uncertainty. But these challenges have brought about a new way of thinking; a new hope, a new optimism and most importantly innovation.
So no matter what life dishes at you…no matter how dire the situation is…try to remember the wonderful classic “Singin’ in the rain” with the talented Gene Kelly at the helm. So, even if it’s cloudy and raining out there, remember to keep the sun in your heart!
Christmas is always a wonderful time of the year (minus the Christmas shopping, which feels like torture to me!) Christmas trees, lights of all sorts, gingerbread houses, Panettoné and even Micheal Bublé’s Christmas album are things to look forward to!(Yes, even I can forgive Michael Bublé during the holiday season!)
But, most of all, the holiday season is a time to reflect on the important people in your life. I guess that’s what all the obsession with gift giving is all about; telling friends and family how much they mean to you…in the form of a clumsily wrapped gift! This doesn’t mean the lousy sweater your grandma gives you is an indication that she hates your guts! It’s the gesture, it’s the thought that counts really…

Halloween is upon us! Ghosts, ghouls, vampires and hordes of zombies will be invading and creating havoc in house parties, clubs… our streets! And watch out for those trick-or-treaters in their glorious state of sugary ecstasy!…There’s a variety to choose from; chocolate of all sorts, hard candy, gooey candy, candies that ooze colourful gelatin and of course the infamous caramels that stick to your teeth! So, which candy are you powerless against? Which sugary delight is your Kryptonite?!
Who am I kidding, just go nuts on the candy!! It’s the only time of the year when you can indulge in sinful sugary sweets! Have a safe, fun Halloween!
